“Bunte Götter – Die Farbigkeit der antiken Skulptur”. With great success, an exhibition presenting the results of many years of investigations on polychromy was presented at the Munich Glyptothek, the Vatican Museums and the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek in Copenhagen in 2003 and 2004. Since then the show has been touring the world as a travelling exhibition.

With support from the Stiftung Archäologie in the form of new investigations and reconstructions, the exhibition concept had been continually updated until 2015. Each presentation thus reflected the state of the art in this field. The Stiftung Archäologie did promote exhibition projects on the phenomena of polychromy from 2005-2015. This task had been handed over to the Liebieghaus Polychromy Research Project in 2016.
